All events that use recorded music, such as a DJ, or live entertainment, such as a band, must remit SOCAN and Re:Sound fees. SOCAN represents the rights of songwriters, lyric authors, composers and music publishers. Re:Sound represents the rights of the performers who played on recordings and the record companies that released those recordings.
The Richmond Conference Centre charges the appropriate fees for all applicable events and remits payments in full to SOCAN and Re:Sound directly.
Cancellations made after the quote is signed will be billed a cancellation fee.
